Fakemess

Posted by: asasadmin In: Latest Threats

Trojan.Fakemess is a very dangerous infection. It messes computerâs security up and leads victims into malicious websites. It is also able to steal passwords of instant messenger programs.

Fakemess trojan targets Chinese speaking users. It corrupts Windows registry and disables many of security programs. The system becomes open to future infections, because neither anti-virus nor anti-spyware tools can be launched.

Trojan.Fakemess loads annoying pop-ups which informs user about winning a prize. The message is fabricated, but it may trick some people into clicking on the pop-up. If user clicks on the message, he is redirected to fraudulent website. It usually prompts visitors to log in using instant messaging account. It is a trick; scammers steal accounts this way. The website may also download and install malwares without visitorâs consent.
